This is just a quickie to say how much I enjoyed the OpenCETL workshop and to show you the pictures I took. These are only 640 by 480 and taken with a phone camera so the quality is iffy but see what you think.

The following annotated maps were collected and have been up-loaded to this post, collected after the Workshop - Making the Technology Fit the Pedagogy - What do we want to Teach today? Workshop Facilitated by Keith Beechener, Bill Tait and Wendy Fisher. Open CETL Conference Open Univeristy Milton Keynes "Pushing the Boundaries" 15 - 16 th October 2007. In this half-an-hour workshop, which was part of a two hour workshop, two delegates were asked to work together and given a Tablet PC. They were provided with a hand-out with instructions on how to up-load a map from Power-Point into Windows Journal, a jnt format. This allowed them to annotate a Map of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The map was converted from .jnt and saved as a .pdf with a open source .pdf creator. I have taken screen dumps of the .pdf files, formated the screen dumps in Power-Point and converted to .jpegs within the Power-Point software. The next stage was to up-load the annotated maps as .jpegs to this blog. Thank you all for these contributions. It is good to see that in such a short time you were all able to use colour, convert graphic annotation to text and also some good experimenting with the electronic highlighter. One drawback with using the electronic highlighter and saving the .jnt to .pdf is that the text is hidden beneath the highlighting. One of many ways to get around this is to save as a .mhtml, this can be seen by anyone with Internet Explorer Version 5 and above.
